From design to construction
Construction has begun at Coral Condo Samui, marking the transition from architectural plans to a new residential community in Lamai. The programme is scheduled over 23 months, with work organised in clear stages from foundations and structural frames to building services, interiors, landscaping, testing and handover.
A completion target matters, but so does the way it is achieved. The project team’s priority is to maintain a consistent standard of workmanship while coordinating the many trades required across four buildings and the central amenity areas. Progress will be measured against programme milestones, quality inspections and the readiness of each stage for the work that follows.
Quality begins with the work people do not see
The most important parts of a building are often concealed when it is finished. Structural reinforcement, concrete work, waterproofing, drainage, electrical routes, plumbing and mechanical systems all need to be installed correctly before decorative finishes begin. Attention at these stages reduces future maintenance and protects the long-term performance of the residences.
Coordination is equally important. Openings, service routes, ceiling levels, air-conditioning, bathroom falls and kitchen connections must align with the architectural plans. The site team will review these interfaces as work proceeds, using inspections and staged approvals to identify issues before they are covered.
A high standard in the details
Coral’s character depends on a combination of precise construction and warm material choices. Curved façades, broad balconies, vertical timber-look elements and softly detailed interiors require careful setting out. Mock-ups and samples will be used where appropriate to confirm finishes, junctions and colour consistency before wider installation.
Inside the residences, the same approach will be applied to cabinetry, stone surfaces, bathroom fittings, lighting and built-in storage. The objective is a calm, durable interior that looks refined on completion and continues to work well in Koh Samui’s tropical climate.
Managing quality and time together
Finishing within the planned 23-month period requires disciplined sequencing. Procurement, workforce planning and technical approvals are being coordinated with the construction schedule so that materials and specialists arrive when needed. Quality checks will take place throughout the build rather than being left until the final inspection.
Buyers will receive construction updates as the project moves through major milestones. These reports are intended to show what has been completed, what is under way and what comes next. Transparent progress information is part of maintaining confidence from the start of construction through to handover.
